Thanks for the advice. This is my first Remix.... I was thinking people wouldn’t really like it. But thanks. I know I can make better!

Groovy and loud. But seems to be very repetitive. Some of the growls feel too wet, though I do like the rhythm of it. Song is pretty good though.

Hippokopter responds:

Well thankyou. Wait... growls are too wet? What does that mean....? xD

A lot of things were competing to be the main sound. Which means different melodies were odd compared to others, or next to another. You need to learn how to mix better, but that's only a matter of time and listening. Another thing is that you need to stay in your scale. There are times where you can change a scale or add a key not seen in a scale but that's pretty hard to pull off in a general song like this one which is a remix.

So,

-Mixing
-Sound Balance
-Scales
-Not putting every melody in the same place at once

hEatr3d responds:

Thanks a lot for your mark, dude))) I’ll try to make it better some time.

Nice drums the build up. The drop is nice too. Some of the vocals are a bit loud, the dist is okay In a sense, need to be a lil calmer I guess. And your allowed to brag about the kick lol, it is nice. That string section feels weird in this song but it is very nice it's very emotional. Very filled in a sense. Though that transition from violin to dubstep could've been executed better. The dist is actually funny when I hear it. Instead of being a growl it just sounds like a triangle lead with some dist. Unless that's what it is. And then back to the violins. I can feel the key change and its very odd. Still it carries with the drums and still sounds good so I'm gonna keep the score where it is. And that ending is pretty satisfying. 4 stars.

Hippokopter responds:

There's no key change, but sometimes odd wobs can make it sound like that I guess. That, or maybe the cello starting on the 9th of the chord in the more "emotional" part is odd. And yes, that main distorted thingy was basically a triangle 4 octaves over a sub and some MASSIVE distortion. lol. Thanks for the review!

EDIT: I think I got what you meant by "key change" - the key stays in E, but it goes from phrygian to natural/harmonic minor. I hope that's what you meant. xD

May I 8-bit remix this? I do like the melody. Though it is a bit slow.

-Too much reverb at the beginning could have used a little less, and some sounds like the piano could have been turned down just a bit. Though the synths are great in this track. And the transition into the drums was great. Those hats are pretty chill and fitting as well. That transitioning synth string feels weird and maybe a little too loud. But the lead that changes in width and such is great. The drop is pumping great, and that vocal caught me off guard. Mixing at drop was great. And the vocals could have been stacked with a lower octave of itself. But still pretty good (unless it already is and I just can't hear it.) The second build up and drop, you absolutely killed it with that, even the vocal felt clean, mixing is off the hook. I have to say, this shit is fire!

This song is great. Great clean sounds. I don't agree with Caucasian, because the sound there fits pretty well and there's nothing wrong with it. Actually it adds a lot of sturdiness and upholds the emptiness in a good way.

I like this one a lot. The sounds aren't too hard nor too soft. Good on ya.

Skybrid responds:

I'm glad you dig it! I really liked to work on this one...

snare is two wet, and drum is peaking in a bad way. everything about the drop was really distorted, the fill before it was cool i guess. Though this was really messy. Needs more mixing and cleaning. But still, I liked some ideas.

Skybrid responds:

Well, thanks for criticism

I mean it when I say mixing has very much improved. But still a lot of the parts in this are, "empty" in a way. And the sounds feel... cliche in a way. The trap fusion at the end was, ok i guess, though the transition was good. Overall, pretty decent!

Hippokopter responds:

Lol, thanks!

EDIT: I think it sounds kind of empty because I was harsh on the resonant frequencies, except taking out everything that sounds resonant takes out the grime on the dubstep basses. I've picked up on that, and I'm adjusting my mixing accordingly. Thanks. xD
